Nova 100 today announced that Ben Cousins, one of the AFL’s most high profile players, will join Hughesy and Kate on Monday mornings as football expert for the 2009 AFL season. Ben will recap the weekend’s matches; discuss any topical issues that arise during these games or in training and talk about life in Melbourne.
Ben Cousins coming to Nova has got me as excited as Chris Judd going to Carlton and that’s saying something!” says Hughesy. Kate says, “I’ll have to remind myself there is a law about kissing cousins.

Hughesy and Kate have called on the expertise of some of the most respected football players in the past, including Western Bulldogs’ Jason Akermanis, returning to Friday mornings; recently retired Hawthorn legend Shane Crawford; and former Collingwood and Melbourne Captains Nathan Buckley and Garry Lyon. “It’s great to be joining Hughesy and Kate in the morning on Nova 100 and getting back to talking footy!” says Ben.

Ben was drafted by the Richmond Tigers in December 2008 and his return to the football field for the first time in 18 months has been one of the most highly anticipated in AFL history. Last Thursday (February 26), Ben did not fail to disappoint with 21 possessions in his first game, the Richmond-Collingwood NAB
Quarter Final clash at the Telstra Dome.
